Cardi’s Community Contributions

Cardi’s Furniture stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Cape Cod are eager to give back to the community. We regularly take steps to support local events and charities in addition to partnering with local businesses and organizations to benefit the community.
Cardi’s Furniture acts as one of the Meeting Street Telethon’s major sponsors. A television station in Rhode Island broadcasts the event in late January. The telethon raises money to help young people overcome educational difficulties. Cardi’s supports the city of Providence’s Ronald McDonald House as well.
We help the local community collect donations for various causes. In early 2010, Providence Business News reported that the American Red Cross and Arpin Group collected donations at Cardi’s Furniture stores in MA and RI. The items included cash contributions and medical equipment for use by Haitian earthquake victims.
Arpin Renewable Energy set up Rhode Island’s first public electric car charger in August 2010, according to the Arpin Group. They installed it outside one of the Cardi’s Furniture stores in RI. This charging station in West Warwick serves up to two cars at a time. Cardi’s also sponsors a local TV program that promotes renewable energy.
Cardi’s is often involved in local Halloween and Christmas events. For example, we help to sponsor the Trinity Repertory Company’s annual Christmas performance. The store website also spreads the word about various holiday activities and entertainment events in the community.
The Cardi’s Furniture store in South Attleboro, MA periodically holds free financial education seminars. The presenters help people in the community learn more about important financial issues such as credit and taxes. The store holds these evening seminars in partnership with Shamrock Financial, a mortgage lender based in Rhode Island.
Both socially and economically, these contributions combine to make the community a better place to live. Our involvement also serves as a way to thank local customers and employees of Cardi’s Furniture for helping the company achieve success.
